Passport Control
(entry & departure)

Immigration & Customs formalities start 2 hours prior to a scheduled flight and run as follows: check in; customs' control; passport & visa control.

Prior to checking in, one has to buy a $25 USD 'departure tax' at the Information Desk of the Airport International Terminal.

For checking in one has to present an air ticket and personal baggage; a carry-on and a checked baggage have to be pointed out for the attention of the Airline staff. The boarding pass, claim tags and carry-on tags will be given out by the counter clerk at checking in.

If baggage is over 20 kgs, a passenger has to pay $4 USD per 1 kg of excess baggage. The payments are received only in rouble equivalent.

Due to the Russian Federation Law roubles cannot be taken out of the country, thus all passengers are requested to change Russian roubles into foreign currency at the International Terminal Bank Exchange Office.

Prior to Customs' control one has to fill in 'Customs' Declaration' & to present two declarations to the Customs' officer: the incoming & outgoing. One has also to present a 'migration' card and personal belongings for Customs' control.

When a passenger is through with the Customs then the baggage has to be finally X-rayed & checked in for the Airline attendance. Passport & visa have to be presented to the officer on duty at the Immigration Control counter. After finishing of all the formalities & prior to boarding passengers are invited to a Terminal waiting hall, mini-bar & duty-free shop.
