05.12.2011 New Year Preparations

As December began, Khabarovsk started it’s preparations for welcoming the New Year.
As usual, the central square of the city – Lenin square and Dinamo Amusement Park are going to become an arena for the “Amur crystal” ice sculpture
competition, held in Khabarovsk for the 9th time.

The most fascinating ice sculpture created by the Khabarovsk artists is going to be the 73 meters long Dragon, which is expected to get into
the Guinness Book of Records. The number 73 is very symbolic as the Khabarovskii Krai turned 73 years old this year.

Besides, various New Year concerts are going to be held in the Recreation Park that will be specially prepared for the New Year holidays.
