15.07.2013 Amur Bridge Museum Extended Its Collection

The collection of the Amur Bridge Museum was extended with two more exhibits, a locomotive and a passenger car.

The locomotive dates back to 1940 and was known as “Pobeda” until 1947. Later it was renamed after a famous soviet locomotive engineer, Lebedyansky. The locomotive was widely used on Tran Siberian Railway.

The unique exhibit used to belong to a locomotive stock base at Bureya Station.

The second exhibit – the passenger car, was constructed in 1934. The car is going to be reconstructed soon.

The Amur Bridge Museum was opened to the public in October, 2010. Since that time it has become very popular among tourists and is worth visiting.
