17.04.2015 Amur River Ice Drifting
Ice drifting on the Amur River began on April, 15.
Ice-drifting on the river began 3 days earlier than geologists expected.
The earliest ice-drifting was recorded in 2008, when the ice broke up on April, 7.
Last year the ice on the Amur River started floating on April, 13. The year before last – on April, 23.
The water level of the river is expected to increase by 3-4 meters than the average this spring. But the flooding similar to 2013 is not expected to happen.
